Funding Our Future

This consultation has concluded.

Talking together for many years, you've told us about a number of priorities you'd like Council to address.  These include the renewal of parks and sporting fields, upgrading of community buildings, continuing the public amenity/toilet block replacement program and important works to revitalise our Penrith and St Marys City Centres. These works are currently unfunded.

Continuing to work together we need to decide the way forward - how can we fund these important works and continue to have the level of Council services the community has come to expect?

Over the next four years, Council has the opportunity to raise a total of approximately $15.2 million to maintain and renew our buildings, parks, City Centres and services. These funds will be generated through an increase in rates, however, before Council make any decisions, we seek your views as well as your support to apply for a Special Rate Variation.

Your feedback is importantI What you tell us will be highly valued and carefully considered by Council and will inform and help shape our application for a Special Rate Variation to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).

We seek you guidance and encourage your involvement in making this important community decision. Please do the following:
