Cycling, walking and using public transport are healthier alternatives to getting around- healthier for people and the environment. Its not always possible though especially when many people have to travel a long way for school or work. One of the ways to encourage healthier transport is through the layout of the city. This can improve safety too.

Tougher follow up on unleached dogs wandering neighbourhoods would encourage me and children to walk & ride more. Bigger fines for littering (doggy do etc on pathways) and policing with fines for mini motor bikes.

We do not feel safe, even in daylight these days as there are too many vandals, thiefs and bullies looking for people to attack.

I live in a rural area and public transport is not readily available. There are also no pathways or cycleways in the rural areas. I need to drive into Penrith to cycle or walk safely.

I live in Orchard Hills and pathways are a big reason why we as a family do not cycle or walk places - it is too dangerous. We definitely would use these paths if they were available.
